Contact form privacy notice

Information under Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679. This notice covers the initial enquiry, rather than any subsequent professional engagement.

Controller and purposes

The controller is Avv. Marco Perilli, Viale delle Milizie 34, Rome, Italy. The form receives enquiries, enables replies and protects the channel from advertising and abuse. First and last names are optional; a reply email, message and acknowledgement of this notice are necessary to use the form.

Lawful bases

Enquiries are handled to take pre-contractual steps requested by the individual, where applicable, and on the basis of the legitimate interest in managing correspondence and protecting the channel from abuse. The checkbox acknowledges this notice: it is not marketing consent and does not create a subscription.

AI filtering and forwarding

Enquiries are forwarded through Microsoft 365 after an automatic check performed by a model on the website server. If the message is classified as promotional or cannot be classified, or if the check is unavailable, it is not forwarded: the sender is notified immediately and can rephrase the enquiry, try again later or write by post to the controller’s address. The text is not sent to OpenAI or other external model providers for this check. First name, last name and email fields are excluded from classification. Technical controls against automated submissions, invalid input and excessive traffic remain in place. The flag may be incorrect and does not produce decisions with legal effects.

Providers and transfers

Processing involves Hetzner for the website server and Microsoft for email forwarding and management, under the applicable agreements. The AI check takes place on the website server hosted in Finland. It does not send the text to an external AI service or use enquiries to train the model. Microsoft services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area, subject to the safeguards in the applicable agreements and the GDPR.

Retention

The form and local AI service do not create a message archive or log message content. Text is processed temporarily for classification and forwarding. Forwarded enquiries remain in the controller’s mailbox to manage correspondence and, ordinarily, for no longer than three months after it ends, unless a subsequent engagement or documented need to protect legal rights justifies retention. Temporary anti-abuse counters do not contain the text or email address of the enquiry.

Rights and an alternative to the form

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may write to the controller at the postal address above, including if you do not wish to use AI filtering. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante. Do not include confidential documents, special-category or criminal-offence data, or third-party personal information in the initial message.

The subject: Briefly describe the need: AI Act compliance advice, AI contracts, intellectual property, data protection, document analysis or development of an AI legal application.
Essential context: Indicate the activity, any international dimension and, for document collections, approximate size and formats. Third-party names and confidential details are not needed in the first message.
Next steps: The scope of the engagement and secure channels for sharing documents are agreed at a later stage, normally after a first reply within a few working days. Initial contact does not in itself initiate advice or analysis.
